PICTURE THIS!
PICTURE THIS!
PICTURE THIS! is a show from Brandie Posey & Sam Varela: two girls who want to push the boundaries of what a comedy show can be. Picture This! is a live comedy show with stand-ups performing while they are drawn live by some of the best animators, cartoonists, and other artists in Hollywood, CA, SF, NYC and Portland. Picture This! has also debuted in Toronto, New Zealand and Australia! The comedians don’t know what the animators are drawing and the animators don’t know how the comedians will react. It may be weird. It may different. But it will be FUNNY!

This Months San Francisco Edition Features:
Sean Keane
Sean Keane
Sean Keane grew up on the cuddly streets of Pleasant Hill, California, before beginning his comedy career in the even-cuddlier town of Berkeley, where he ran UC Berkeley’s humor magazine, The Heuristic Squelch, and produced a series of comedy shows. He began his standup career in San Francisco years later, and began receiving acclaim for his intelligent writing, autobiographical storytelling, and remarkably pink cheeks.

Sean has appeared at numerous festivals, including SF Sketchfest, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and the Humboldt Comedy Festival. He’s contributed to McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and ESPN the Magazine, and performed at Litquake, the San Francisco Literary Festival. His writing has appeared in the East Bay Express, Deadspin.com, and various sports blogs all over the internet. He’s had the privilege of working with such comedians as Todd Barry, Greg Proops, Dave Attell Tig Notaro, Rory Scovel, TJ Miller, Kyle Kinane, and Kurt Braunohler, among others.

He’s a founding member of The Business, SF’s finest alt-comedy showcase since 2009, which the SF Weekly and SF Magazine have each called “Best of SF.” The San Jose Mercury News called Sean a “Comic To Watch” in 2011, and he’s a three-time champion of the live standup game show Iron Comic.
Kate Willett
Kate Willett
Kate Willett has been featured on Comedy Central’s “This Is Not Happening,” Viceland’s “Flophouse” and is a regular opener for Margaret Cho who she’s toured with nationally and internationally. You might have seen her on Fusion TV or heard her on the Risk! podcast with Kevin Allison. She’s was named a top “Artist to Watch in 2016” by SF Weekly, has opened for comedians like Kyle Kinane, Jen Kirkman, Anthony Jeselnik, Dana Gould, Jackie Kashian, Myq Kaplan, and Michael Che. She’s appeared in the 2015 Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival, and San Francisco Sketchfest (3 years in a row). She’s a regular feature at comedy clubs all over the country and a favorite of audience members, flannel clad skateboarders, and all of her twenty-three roommates.
Ray Molina
Ray Molina
Ray Molina, what can I say about me, I’m not that good looking, I’m not that tall, but I do care about you and want you to feel less alone in this world. I also want to talk to you so please say hi to me whenever you feel like it. I can help you feel better if you are sad, I will hug you if you tell me you need one or just want one.
Adrian McNair
Adrian McNair
Adrian McNair is an East-Bay-based comedian who has made a big enough impression during his sophomore year of comedy to become a staple of the scene. He’s a favorite at independent showcases throughout the Bay Area. You can catch him every Saturday at Laugh Function in Berkeley, and every third Saturday at "The Book Was Better" Comedy Show in Downtown Oakland.
Allison Mick
Allison Mick
Allison Mick is an Oakland-based comedian originally from Rochester, NY. Her comedy tackles topics like race, gender, and fast food, and can be seen monthly as part of the Vice Principals of Comedy showcases in San Francisco. She’s been written about on earmilk.com and has performed in such prestigious festivals as the S.H.I.T.s and Giggles Comedy Festival in Humboldt County, California and will be taking part in SF Sketchfest in San Francisco in 2015.
Alfonso Portela
Alfonso Portela
Sacramento native, Alfonso Portela, is a nationally recognized barista. Alfonso is also a professional percussionist. Most relevant to this short bio, however, he’s a talented comedian. Much like his taste for playing all genres of music, his comedy too encompasses a variety of styles from short clever jokes to elaborate and animated vignettes. Winner of “Best New Comedian” at the Sacramento Comedy Festival, Alfonso has an inclusive style of comedy that appeals to everyone. Original, creative, and imaginative are the hallmarks of his material. He has become a staple at comedy shows in his area and has also performed at many of Northern California’s premier comedy clubs. He has a gap in his teeth. Don’t let it weird you out. It looks good.
Irene Mcgee
Irene Mcgee
Ben Walker-Storey
Ben Walker-Storey
Ben Walker-Storey is a San Francisco-based Illustrator, Apparel Designer and Cartoonist known mainly for his paintings of bears with guns, jackalopes, and other weird Western stuff.

Ben is Art Director and Co-producer of the San Francisco branch of Picture This! at Doc's Lab. And check out his new after-show Deal Killer, a cartoon-driven comedy game show about dating and relationships.
