Jeff Desira
Jeff Desira
Jeff Desira delivers hope and heartbreak with natural grace. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, he has had a diverse musical career before coming into his own as a singer-songwriter, crafting honest and endearing pop songs and ballads. Desira’s debut solo album, Weathervane, contains songs he wrote about his time in New York. It also includes “When I Let Go”, a piece recalling a life-changing accident in 2011 which rendered him unable to play guitar for four months. After a grueling recovery, in which he had to retrain his left hand, he returned to music in full force and began to record with producer Scott Mickelson.
Brad Brooks
Brad Brooks
"Brooks is the archetypal 21st century pop maverick, beavering away with limited funds and a modest audience, but with plenty of time on his hands to get things just right. He borrows liberally from the past - think Beatles, Left Banke, Brian Wilson and some of Queen's pomp and splendour - and completes the mix with modern influences like Rufus Wainwright and Thom Yorke at his most melodic. Needless to say, it hardly seems rocket science fusing the styles of some of the most talented and popular artists of the last 40 years, but that doesn't quite explain why it sounds so damn good, and that so few other people seem to be doing it with quite the same zeal and, dare I say, panache." --Leicester Bangs
Honey Lawless and Gigi D'Flower
Honey Lawless and Gigi D'Flower
The dynamic duo of Honey Lawless and Gigi d’Flower has been performing together for over 10 years. With a flair for satire, these ladies have been the creative force behind some of Hubba Hubba Revue's large-scale production numbers. This modern day Lucy and Ethel met while working with Belles du Jour, an Oakland-based burlesque troupe founded in 2006. With a love of comedy, these classically dance trained silly sirens have been wowing their audience with dance and skit and a knack for creating memorable characters. Performing all over the bay area, their Spinning Dreidel Act has become a bay area holiday annual event and even captured laughs at the Hollywood Burlesque Festival. As regular performers for the world famous Hubba Hubba Revue, the Bay Area's award winning burlesque and variety show, Honey and Gigi can be seen performing for the monthly show in San Francisco.
