Spot On
Spot On - Television’s “greatest” variety-talk show is back! Now hosts Sal and Mitzi Lieberman are bringing the show on the road to a theater or barn near you!

Spot On is a comedic variety-talk show that ran from July 1982 to September 1987. It was created by Herman Lear (Norman’s youngest cousin) as a spin-off/summer replacement from Small Wonders and After MASH. This talk show was hosted by Sal Lieberman and sidekick/announcer/wife Mitzi Hyman-Klein-Lieberman complete with a stage band, guests, songs and dance.
Like the Tonight Show, Spot On satirized real talk shows as well as the sort of fare one might expect from locally-produced, small-town, midwestern American television programming. Well-known actors usually appeared playing characters or a contrivance had to be written for the celebrity to appear as themselves. (In one episode, Tom Waits' tour bus happened to break down and then hilarity ensued when he had to marry Mitzi).
Trixxie Carr
Trixxie Carr
Trixxie Carr is a unique musical comic who plays with iconography and myth, be it when singing her own live compositions, performing in one of her plays, or as one of the rare female-born drag queens in the industry. She has made a career out of creating performance pieces tailored to events such as street fairs, nightclubs and museums, as well as acting and writing her own plays and music. A rare breed of artist who refuses to conform, trixxie has taken her San Francisco style of drag international, working alongside drag revolutionaries to expand and refine the craft, as well as defy assumptions about it as well as herself! She has written two plays, the second of which is a one-woman glam rock opera, and has two albums available online...so far...in her spare time off of the drag stage, trixxie loves to do cabaret tributes in SF mixing her drag skills and live music, has joined a post hardcore rock and roll band, and generally plots to make the world a more awesome place by singing and dancing around. And of course, dressing up! More can be found out about her at trixxiecarr.com
