Learn From Me Comedy Showcase
Learn From Me Comedy Showcase
The Learn From Me Comedy Showcase is produced by San Francisco comedy booker/producer and professional groomsman, Jeff Zamaria. What once started as a weekly showcase, has now grown into a full on comedy production company. Learn From Me Comedy features some of the best comics from across the country, and the brightest up and coming comics in the Bay Area. It has consistently been one of the top shows in SF, and past guests have included: Todd Glass, Brent Weinbach, Beth Stelling, Andy Kindler, Eddie Pepitone, Iliza Shlesinger, Judah Friedlander, Jimmy Pardo and many more. Somebody even once said that it's "maybe the best comedy showcase in SF". Not too sure who that was, but they are correct...

-San Jose Metro

“Comedian’s Comedian”
-2014 Bay Area Stand-Up Comedy Awards

Matt Gubser performs across the country and internationally, touching on topics ranging fatherhood, dating, sex, politics, & religion, intermingling personal anecdotes and biting social commentary, all couched in a comfortable, relaxed delivery.

Matt was named “Comedian’s Comedian” in the 2014 Bay Area Stand Up Comedy Awards. He is a contributor to Savage Henry magazine, is part of the Ha Ha Heathens comedy tour, and produces shows around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Matt is a Northern California native and Bay Area resident. He enjoys sculpting, buying books faster than he can read them, and basketball. He has three exasperating daughters. He makes them eat too many vegetables.
Irene Tu
Irene Tu
Irene Tu is a San Francisco-based stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. In 2016, she was named one of the “Bay Area’s 11 Best Stand Up Comedians” by the SFist and one of 20 “Women to Watch” by KQED. She has been featured in SF Sketchfest, Limestone Comedy Festival, RIOT LA and on Seeso and Viceland. Irene hosts several popular shows in the Bay Area: Man Haters, Hysteria, The Mission Position, and Millennials Ruin Everything (they do). You can follow her @irene_tu. irenetu.com
Adrian McNair
Adrian McNair
Adrian McNair is an East-Bay-based comedian who has made a big enough impression during his sophomore year of comedy to become a staple of the scene. He’s a favorite at independent showcases throughout the Bay Area. You can catch him every Saturday at Laugh Function in Berkeley, and every third Saturday at "The Book Was Better" Comedy Show in Downtown Oakland.
Torio Van Grol
Torio Van Grol
Torio Van Grol was first discovered by a gentleman naturalist in 1676, causing an uproar among the clergy, who claimed that he was placed on Earth by God as a test of faith. After much careful study, Torio has been widely accepted as real, though some controversy lingers. Many people believe that early humans coexisted peacefully with him, even caring for him and riding on his back as a form of transportation.
But Torio is not strong enough to carry people, instead relying on speed, cunning and a bulletproof eBay rating for survival. His primary habitat is the comedy clubs of the Bay Area, California, but he has been spotted as far south as San Diego and as far north as Sonoma, grazing on the region's naturally plentiful burritos. Torio is highly prized for his jokes, which are rumored to have aphrodisiacal properties. He is both fascinating and terrifying to children.

Torio produces comedy shows throughout the bay, including the popular Back Alley Comedy shows that began in Sonoma. He recently performed in the Rooster T. Feathers comedy competition, in which he finished runner-up, and was apart of the Santa Cruz Fringe Festival and Sacramento Comedy Fest in 2014.
Joey Avery
Joey Avery
A Bay Area native, Joey started his comedy career in Cape Town, South Africa. After his return he continued his pursuit in the San Diego comedy scene, where he was booked at the 2013 Sun God Festival alongside acts such as Kendrick Lamaar. He most recently opened for the "Pitbull Of Comedy" Mr. Bobby Slayton. Joey has recently returned to Northern California where he hopes to continue his comedic growth
