"She has developed a unique gift of knocking down walls with songs so strong they sound like classics from another era." -ACOUSTIC GUITAR

"Part of the new old-soul generation." -HUFFINGTON POST

Amber Rubarth has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe and Japan including appearances at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center, opening tours for many legendary artists including Emmylou Harris, Kenny Loggins, Marc Cohn, Richie Havens and Loudon Wainwright III.

Grand Prize Winner of NPR's Mountain Stage New Song Award, Rubarth has garnered attention for her insightful songwriting and unique musicality, attracting praise from The Huffington Post, BBC Radio and NPR. "She has developed a unique gift of knocking down walls with songs so strong they sound like classics from another era." - Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Her fifth album "A Common Case of Disappearing" was produced by Jacquire King (Tom Waits, Norah Jones) and debuted at No. 13 on the iTunes songwriter charts. A live recording from the legendary Sun Studio is airing nationwide on PBS.

At 21 years old, Amber quit her career as a chainsaw sculptor in Nevada in order to pursue a quiet passion for music. She taught herself guitar, began playing open mics and recording her songs, and soon began performing throughout the US and Europe. She received over 1.5 million listens on MySpace through word of mouth and quickly became one of their top indie artists.

Rubarth has begun composing for films, recently working with Paul Brill for the highly acclaimed Sundance Film Festival winner Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. She also partnered with Alex Wong to create The Paper Raincoat, a Brooklyn band featured as iTunes Indie Spotlight chosen as Paste Magazine's Best of What's Next.
